The walls
Wall storage is what converts floor space back into room. The decision is not which rack looks best, it is what the wall is made of: masonry takes almost anything, lightweight block needs the right anchor, and plasterboard on dabs needs the studs or a batten. Every product page here states what it fixes into before it states anything else.

- A host system — slatwall or a track — so the wall is one coordinated surface rather than separate racks at separate heights
- Enclosed cabinets, for the things you do not want on display
- A wall finish: cladding or board that covers block and gives the room a back wall worth looking at
