Man cave decor & wall clocks
Decor is two wall clocks for now, and that is the honest size of it: a silent sweep clock with raised cubic numerals that reads from the far end of a double garage, and an oversized clock whose numerals you place yourself to fit the wall. Neither ships with fixings. Signs and neon come back when the list asks.
Before you buy
A ticking clock is loud in a concrete room
A hard-walled garage with no soft furnishings does nothing to absorb a tick, so a movement that is unremarkable in a lounge becomes the loudest thing in the room the moment the tools go down. Both clocks here run a silent sweep movement on a battery, which is the one spec that matters more in a garage than in a house.
Mark the big one out before a numeral goes up
The personalised clock is a movement plus separate numerals that mount individually, so you set the diameter to suit the wall. That takes longer than a one-screw clock and the mistake you make is uneven spacing, which is very visible. Mark the circle out with masking tape and a string compass first, and treat it as a decorative piece rather than a precision one — if you need a clock to time something, this is not it.
No fixings in the box
Neither clock ships with a screw. The cubic clock hangs off a single keyhole, so into masonry that is one plug and one screw — a two-minute job, but not a no-tools one. Hang either large enough and high enough to read from the far end of the garage, which is the only real test for a clock in a workspace.
Not sure where this fits in the room? How to kit out a man cave sets out the order to do it in.

Turning a garage into a bar: what to check before you spend
A room people sit in is a different job from one they park in. Damp, cold and ventilation before any timber, a word with the council, and storage on the walls.
Wall decor for a garage: one feature wall, the rest working
Cold flat walls need scale and texture: a few large pieces with depth beat many small prints. One wall done, the rest working, materials that shrug off damp.
