The floor
The floor decides whether a garage reads as a room or as a slab with things in it. Interlocking tiles go down over a weekend and lift if the concrete underneath is poor; a resin or epoxy coating looks seamless and is far less forgiving of damp. Both beat bare concrete and neither needs the slab to be perfect.
